Kur mes norime patekti? Kodėl? Kam mums to reikia?
Ar tikrai aš to noriu? Ar kiti žmonės mane „skatina“ to siekti, ar aš pats to noriu?

Dance has been used therapeutically for thousands of years. It has been used as a healing ritual and a way to influence birth, sickness, and death since early human history. With evolution of psychology, a new philosophy of dance has been developed and defined. The idea that movement could have such an effect on the mover seems not to be just a simple expression of art. Neuroscience studies on the other hand, have verified that shifting the body to interrupt habits of mind can change our perspective, which may shift the way we think, speak, and even the way we are perceived by others and ourselves.
Movement improvisation allows participants to experiment new ways of being. With the help of qualified facilitator, the sessions can help you consciously understand new non-verbal experience. Discussions and sharing is what makes the dance therapy sessions different from the ones of “ecstatic” or “freedom dance”. The word “therapy” is not about being “not ok” and then “cured”, it is about different quality of life, which gives you a chance for new choices and opportunities. Through a meditative process, that involves movement, realization of your body, and verbalization of insights you will gain a deeper sense of self-awareness and a sense of wholeness.
Your dance experience will be guided by Katrina Menshikova, a qualified embodiment facilitator and dance-movement therapist. She is an instructor at Vozdukh Physical Theatre Institute and a dancer at Moscow Improvisation Theatre Vozdukh. After more than 15 years of personal body practices of professional athletics, martial arts, yoga and dance Katrina continued her studies to further her integral body trainings.
